We’re so glad you’ve found your way to Riverstone Bernedoodles!

​

Riverstone Bernedoodles is a small, family-run program based in Calgary, Alberta, operated by myself, my husband, and our four children. Our journey began in 2021 after falling in love with the Bernedoodle breed through our very first girl, Daisy. What started as a personal passion quickly evolved into a meaningful purpose—one rooted in ethics, intentional breeding, and a deep appreciation for the impact that well-bred dogs can have on families.

We believe that animals play a significant role in emotional and mental well-being, something we have experienced firsthand in our own home. This belief continues to guide everything we do. Our goal is to provide thoughtfully bred, lovingly raised companions that bring lasting joy, connection, and companionship to the families who welcome them.

At Riverstone, integrity is at the core of our program. Each of our puppies is raised in our home, where they are given time, attention, and early socialization that supports confident, well-adjusted development. Our breeding program goes beyond standard expectations, with all breeding dogs undergoing extensive genetic screening through Embark Veterinary, as well as comprehensive health evaluations through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), including hips, elbows, patellas, and cardiac health. This level of diligence allows us to breed with both purpose and long-term responsibility.

Since welcome our first litter of Mini Bernedoodles in November 2022, we have remained committed to continuously improving our program with each generation. Our beloved foundation girl, Daisy, has since retired and continues to live her best life, while her lineage carries forward in our program through carefully selected dams and sires that have been chosen to preserve and strengthen our lines for the future.

We are also proud to be among the few breeders in Canada working with Ultra Bernedoodles, and we are intentionally developing our Mini Bernedoodle lines toward higher Bernese Mountain Dog content—further emphasizing the structure, temperament, and presence that define these dogs.

Because each litter requires an incredible amount of time, care, and intention, we intentionally maintain a small program, producing only a few litters per year. This allows us to dedicate ourselves fully to each puppy and ensure they are raised to the highest standard. As a result, our puppies are typically reserved well in advance, and we work closely with families who value thoughtful, ethical breeding over immediate availability.
